How to buy government property and properties
When the government has additional equipment, confiscated property or foreclosed properties, the assets are sold to the public. You will find a variety of goods for sale such as cars, trucks, properties, houses, buildings, land, computers, furniture and work tools.

Auctions and sales by state
You can find surplus property sales and state or local auctions (in English) online.

Public land
Land, that is, land or land without buildings, is also sold to the public. The Office of Land Management (BLM) of the Department of the Interior is responsible for these lands. To purchase public lands, contact the BLM state office (in English) with jurisdiction in the area that interests you.

Auctions of FEMA temporary housing units
The temporary housing units of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) are prefabricated homes, mobile homes, etc. Surpluses of this type of temporary housing are offered for public sale through auctions. There are two options for you to participate in these auctions:

Auctions by the General Services Administration
The General Services Administration (GSA) organizes public auctions of government surpluses, including these FEMA temporary housing units.

If you are interested in participating in the GSA auctions, register (in English) within the deadlines. Instructions for registering and payment options are available in English.

Auctions through GovSales.gov
The GovSales.gov site (in English) shows government assets that are available for sale to the public such as homes, jewelry, cars, machines and computers. On that site you can also find listings of FEMA assets that are for public sale.
